Council Parish enhancing public area for Upton by Chester residents

REPLACING the community pavilion in Wealstone Lane has begun as workers are now removing the electrics in preparation for the building to be demolished.

The Parish Council has been working hard to raise funds since a full planning application was submitted to Cheshire West and Chester Council.

Estimated at a cost of £330,000, of which at least fifty per cent has already been set aside, the remainder will have to be raised and a funding consultation with residents of Upton is currently underway but closes Monday December 15, 2014.

The pavilion is part of the Queen Elizabeth II playing fields at Wealstone Lane which includes a bowling green and tennis courts.
